Mary B. Mauck, 87 of Kirksville passed away Tuesday (October 7, 2014) at Twin Pines Adult Care Center.

The daughter of Emery Earl and Mary Blanche (Wood) Helton, she was born September 8, 1927 in Adair County, Missouri. On January 18, 1946 in Kirksville she was united in marriage to John Mauck.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Denise Treasure and husband Tim of Kirksville; three grandchildren, Andy Treasure of Kirksville, Jody Treasure and wife Wendy of Kirksville and Chrissie Hendren and husband T.J. of Kirksville; six great grandchildren, Dylan Treasure, Trinity Treasure, Zachary Treasure, Nate Treasure, Samantha Treasure and Cameron Hendren; one brother, Burnell Helton and wife Frances of Kirksville; one sister, Treva Byers of Ottumwa, IA; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Marion and Lena Mauck of Galesburg, IL; three sisters-in-law, Donna Helton of Kirksville, Joan Helton of Kirksville and Mary Wright of Independence, MO; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; and two brothers, Harley and Albert Helton.

Mary grew up in Adair County and graduated from Brashear High School in 1945. She worked for Doc Haggard & son Oil Company as a bookkeeper and then worked in banking where she worked at Commerce Bank and Bank Midwest until she retired in 1993.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Kirksville Chapter #184 O.E.S., and Kirksville Business and Professional Women. She enjoyed her flowers, gardening, sewing and family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren’s activities.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday (October 10, 2014) at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home with Reverend Richard Northcutt officiating. Entombment will be in Park View Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

Pallbearers will be Mike Helton, Terry Helton, Brad Helton and Tony Byers.

Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the
