Madelon Virginia Butler

Madelon Virginia Butler, 67 passed away Thursday (October 30, 2014) at North Village Park in Moberly, MO.

The daughter of Veda and Eskie Wright Jr., she was born September 10, 1947. She attended the Queen City School and graduated with the class of 1965. In June of 1965 she was united in marriage to Jerome Alan Butler and to this marriage two children were born, Jay Alan Butler and Jill Amy Butler.

Madelon worked at Laughlin Hospital for several years and Heritage House Reality in Kirksville before moving to Fort Myers, Florida, and later returning to the Queen City area. She received her certificate for Occupational Therapy and worked with handicapped children until her health failed and she entered North Village Park in Moberly, MO.

She was a member of the Queen City Christian Church. While living in Lancaster, MO she attended the Schuyler County Church of Faith.

Madelon is survived by her son, Jay and wife Jing of Southfield, MI; her mother, Veda Wright of Schuyler County Nursing Home in Queen City, MO; one sister, Rose Knight of Plano, IA; one brother, Dan Wright and wife Pat of Foley, AL; one sister-in-law, Jana Lee and husband Rex of Kirksville; one brother-in-law, Jim Berry and wife Gail of Glenwood, MO; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome in March of 2010, her father, Eskie Wright Jr. on January 13, 1997 and her daughter, Jill Amy Butler in 1987.

Madelon was cremated and a service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by the Dooley Funeral Home, Queen City, MO.
