Julia Robb, 95, of Unionville, MO, passed away at the Putnam County Hospital in Unionville, MO, on Saturday, December 20, 2014, after a brief illness.

Julia Francis (Tingley) Robb was born in Pollock, MO, on December 10, 1919, the daughter of William Thomas Tingley and Easter Isabelle Casteel, who preceded her in death. She graduated from Unionville High School in 1938 and on May 7, 1938 she married Harry Cecil Robb in Corydon, IA. He preceded her in death in 1975.

Julia and Cecil made their home on a farm in northern Putnam County for many years where they owned and operated a dairy farm. They then moved to Unionville. Julia began to provide child care for friends and neighbors. She loved children. Julia was a person with a simple, quiet and yet independent spirit. She lived in her own home until recently entering the hospital. She liked to do puzzles and puzzle books and to read, especially romance novels.

Julia is survived by two grandsons, Chuck Robb and his wife Alisha of Edmond, OK, and Jason Robb of Owensville, IN. Six great grandchildren also survive as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Julia was preceded in death by her son, Charles (Charley) Robb and by brothers Thomas Clifford, William Clyde, Carl Ruben Darrell, Chancie Vear and sister Flora Isabelle and by six half brothers and sisters.

Graveside services for Julia Robb will be at the Unionville Cemetery at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, December 23, 2014, with visitation at Playle and Jones Family Funeral Home in Unionville one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Unionville Cemetery.
