Ronald E. Bagley

Ronald Edward Bagley, 78 of Kirksville passed away Thursday, January 8, 2015.

Ron was born in Browning, MO on October 16, 1936, the son of William Alva and Kathryn Lorene Jones Bagley.

On April 21, 1972 he was united in marriage to Marion I. Cormeny.

Ron is survived by his wife, Marion; a sister, Kathy Riney of Hannibal, MO; two nephews, David Riney of Lees Summit, MO and Dwight Riney of Bentonville, AR; and one niece, Anne Riney of Lees Summit, MO.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Ron taught at Northeast Missouri State Teachers College for 34 years and was a member of numerous professional organizations. Ron maintained membership in the York Rite Bodies in Shelbina, MO and Moila Shrine as well as El Kadir Shrine. He was a fifty year member of the A.F. & A.M. After retiring from teaching he enjoyed his small business engraving signs for various businesses in Kirksville.

Ron was a long time member of the First Christian Church in Kirksville.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday (January 11, 2015) at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home with Reverend Jim Pitney officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hills Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be David Riney, Dwight Riney, Mike Bradley, Adam Dorrell, T.W. Sorrell and Dave Bethel.

Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday (January 10, 2015) at the
