Jeannette Service
Jeannette Service, 46, of Lucerne, MO, passed away suddenly at her home on Thursday, February 5, 2015.
Jeannette Rosalie Meinecke was born in Smithville, MO, on November 22, 1968, the daughter of Timothy R. Meinecke, Sr. and Linda McGiver. She grew up in Princeton, MO, and she married Jim Service in Ridgeway, MO, on February 21, 1998. Jeannette spent her life as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She thoroughly loved her grandchildren. She and Jim had just recently moved to Lucerne after spending their married life in Ridgeway, Stanberry, and Parnell, MO. She was a good cook who loved preparing meals for her family. She was outgoing and never met a stranger, nor did she have a bad word to say about anyone. Jeannette was outgoing with a friendly nature and so she made friends easily; she had a host of good friends. She was always smiling and loved to visit. Jeannette had recently begun making bracelets for friends and loved ones.
Jeanette is survived by her husband and her parents. She is also survived by her sons, Joseph (Bridget) Service of Unionville, MO; Chris (Kilee Petty) Service of Eagleville, MO; and Skyler Meinecke of Conception, MO; and her daughters, Riley (Aaron) Brown of Lucerne, MO; Jesse Service and Destiny (Ryan) Grimme of the state of Indiana. Seven grandchildren also survive: Colton Brown, Alexis Brown, Case Brown, Parker Brown, Troy Service, Jaxon Service and Deegan Eldridge. Her surviving siblings are Timothy (Shelly Stark) R. Meinecke, Jr., of Princeton, MO; Gus (Selma) Meinecke of Kansas City, KS; George (Sherry) Scott of Bethany, MO; Jennifer Meinecke of Kansas City, MO; and Kim Meinecke of Liberty, MO. A nephew, Blythe (Mary) Henry and a niece, Kendra (Wes) Hamilton were also special to Jeannette.
Jeannette was preceded in death by her step-father, George Scott and a granddaughter, Klaudia Grimme.
Funeral Services for Jeannette Service will be held at Playle and Jones Family Funeral Home at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, February, 10, 2105 with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at a later date.
Memorials are suggested to the family to assist with funeral expenses and may be entrusted with Playle and Jones Family Funeral Home, 709 S. 27th St., Unionville, MO 63565.
