Jeremy Steele

Jeremy Steele, 33, of Kansas City, MO, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, February 20, 2015.

Jeremy James Steele was born in Kansas City, MO, on July 8, 1981, the son of Clarence Morgan and Dianna Steele. He was reared in Kansas City. Jeremy enlisted in the United States Navy and began his service to his country on March 1, 2000. He served aboard a submarine stationed out of Honolulu, HI, for most of his tour and was honorably discharged on February 28, 2005. He enlisted in the United States Army and served from October 26 until August 28, 2008, this time serving in the motor transport and in the security division in Iraq. Jeremy returned to Kansas City and began a career as a truck driver, most recently driving with CRH Transport.

Jeremy was an avid Oakland Raiders fan (even in Kansas City!), proudly wearing the silver and black. He was a great fan of the Kansas City Royals baseball team, even attending a World Series game in the fall of 2014. Jeremy loved to get together with family and friends and his favorite get togethers were family barb-e-ques. He had an easy personality who could be outgoing and friendly and yet reserved. He was an easy kid to raise and got along with everyone.

Jeremy is survived by his mother, Dianna (Victor) Meaney of Gladstone, MO, and his father, Clarence Morgan of Holt, MO. He is also survived by a brother, Kohlby Meaney of Gladstone, MO, and two sisters, Jessica (Ryan) Barker of Grain Valley, MO, and Samantha (fiancé Steven Beauchamp) Morgan of Milwaukee, WI. Jeremy’s maternal Grandmother is Wanda Steele of Liberty, MO, and his paternal Grandfather is Jolly Morgan of Holt, MO. He is also survived by a niece, Brianna Barker, as well as host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Jeremy was preceded in death by his maternal Grandfather, Billy R. Steele, and his paternal Grandmother, Alene Morgan.
