James S. Ames

James S. Ames 55, of Kirksville, MO passed away Monday, March 9, 2015, at the Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, MO.

The son of Herbert and Ivie (Cooper) Ames, James was born April 6, 1959 in Muskogee, OK. On August 8, 1995 in Kirksville, MO he was united in marriage to Janet Rick who survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Eugene Ames and Michael Ames of Kirksville, MO; one daughter, Kelly Ames of Kirksville, MO; one grandchild; one brother, Herbert Ames, Jr. of Purcell, OK and two sisters, Peggy Hammond of Purcell, OK and Linda Woods of Purcell, OK.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Cora Cole.

James was reared in Muskogee, OK where he attended school. He worked as a truck driver for many years. James and Janet moved to Kirksville in 2003.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 14, 2015, at the Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Park View Cemetery in Kirksville, MO.

Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 p.m until the time of the service on Saturday, March 14, 2015, at the Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home
