Richard (Dick) Stitzer

Richard (Dick) Stitzer, 72 of Kirksville passed away Monday (March 16, 2015) at Twin Pines Adult Care Center.

The son of John and Dorothy (Sullivan) Stitzer, he was born November 24, 1942 in Kirksville, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Barbara Duffey.

Dick served in the US Army in Germany and was honorably discharged. Afterwards he graduated from Radiology Technician School. He was employed in the X-ray department at K.O.H. hospital.

Dick is survived by five daughters, Sherry Davidson, Patty Blankenship, Robin Potts, Kimberly Blasi and Brandy Swank; one son, Lt. Col. Rich Stitzer; two brothers, Mike Stitzer and wife Jan, and Andy Stitzer and wife Sarah; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service and burial was held at Highland Park Cemetery.
