Kodi Knight

Kodi Knight, 47, of Unionville, MO passed away suddenly at the Putnam County Memorial Hospital on April 10, 2015.

Kodi Knight was born on September 10, 1967 in San Diego, CA, the daughter of Robert and Wanda Dale. Kodi’s family traveled a lot when she was young due to her father’s service in the Marine Corps. Kodi was fortunate enough to spend time over seas in Japan during their travels. At age 10 Kodi’s family settled in Lemons, MO and she later graduated from the Unionville High School in 1986. During her life she was successful in sales for the hotel industry mostly in California before she returned to Putnam County. On December 10, 2011 she married Morgan Knight in Unionville, MO. Kodi got along well with everyone she knew. She enjoyed peaceful activities like ceramics, gardening, and the simple things you could tinker with. Kodi’s enjoyment of older style “Rock-n-Roll” didn’t quite fit her personality, but was simply what made her special.

Kodi Knight is survived by her husband, Morgan of the home and two daughters, Megan Hirsch and Carol Rouse. Kodi’s surviving grandchildren are James, Serenity, and Quinn. Kodi is also survived by a brother, Robert Dale the 3rd and wife Hedi of Des Moines, IA. Their five children include Joshua, Daniel, Robert, Sarah, and Raymond.

Kodi was preceded in death by her parents Robert Donald Dale, Jr. and Wanda Dale (Schoonover.)

A visitation for Kidi was held at Playle and Jones Family Funeral Home on Sunday, April 12. There were no services.
Memorials for Kodi have been suggested to the American Cancer Society and may be entrusted to the Playle and Jones Family Funeral Home, 709 S. 27th St., Unionville, MO 63565.
