Maxine was a life long member of the First Christian Church of Unionville and a member of the Eastern Star. In her younger years she enjoyed fishing and the outdoors and when she and Tom married they enjoyed many adventures together and were especially fond of their grandchildren Chris, Jim, and Chad and their families. Maxine loved animals. At one time she had many outdoor cats she took care of and later became really fond of two of George Ray’s dogs, Lady and Sandi. For many years Maxine owned and operated Bailey’s Café in Unionville and never let anyone go hungry then she kept herself busy helping out wherever needed. She was always willing to give a helping hand to anyone in need and tried to always have a smile and an encouraging word. Maxine will be missed by everyone who knew her and will be remembered as one of the most caring people you will ever know. She was a Proverbs 31: 10-31 women. While she will be missed, we know she is in Heaven due to her belief in Jesus Christ. We know Grandpa Tom and Grandma Max are with us forever and for that we are forever grateful.
