Lena Ellen Buckallew
Lena (Kamm) Buckallew, 92, of Kirksville, Missouri, and formerly of Lancaster, Missouri, passed away Monday May 25th in the Twin Pines Adult Care Center where she had been a patient since March 25th, 2015.
The daughter of Henry and Ida Kamm, she was born in Saginaw Michigan on June 10, 1922. She moved to Ossian, Indiana where she resided until her marriage to Harry McClure who proceded her in death. On Ocotober 30, 1957 in Pueblo, Colorado, she was married to Millard “Buck” Buckallew who preceded her in death on December 25, 1993.
She is survived by one daughter, Janet Timmerman of Leesburg, Florida: Eight grandchildren, Nineteen great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one sister, her son, Harry “Butch” McClure, Jr. of Lancaster Missouri, and her daughter, Judy (McClure) Baile, of Las Vegas Nevada.
Lene was a stay at home mom until her children attended high school. She then held various jobs until her retirement in 1976 when she and Buck moved to Lancaster Missouri where they resided until 1991 when they moved to Feld Arms in Kirksville, Missouri.
She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Graveside service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Thursday (May 28, 2015) at Rose Cemetery with Pastor Sonny Smyser officiating.
Pallbearers will be Brenden Truong, Kim Sorensen, Adam Coleman, Buck Coleman, Brett “Rocky” Hayden, and Brendon Hayden.
Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Thursday at the
Dooley Funeral Home
