Linda Carrall

Linda Carrall, 57, of Unionville, MO, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, June 27, 2015, after a battle with cancer.

Linda June Carrall was born in Princeton, MO, on January 9, 1958, the daughter of Thomas Earl and Mary Belle (McCulley) Carrall. After High School, Linda moved to Unionville, MO in 1980. She married Harrison Collins in Unionville, MO, on April 3, 1989. The couple later divorced.

Linda had a strong work ethic and spent her working career at Hollister’s in Kirksville, MO, Banquet Food in Milan, MO, and at Dollar General in Unionville, MO. She spent ten years at Dollar General, the last eight serving as manager until ill health forced her to resign. She was known at Dollar General for her bright smile and helpful spirit, always placing customer service at the top of her priorities.

Linda liked to collect pig figurines as well as watch crime and mystery dramas on television. She liked to listen to country music with Jason Aldean being her favorite artist. Linda once served with the Unionville Fire Department and on the board for the Green Hills Community Action Agency. She was baptized as a youngster at the First Baptist Church in Princeton.

Linda is survived by two daughters, Misty Carrall and Felicia Collins both of Unionville, MO. Her father, Thomas, of Ridgeway, MO, and her mother Mary Carrall, of Unionville, MO, also survive. Linda is survived by two step-sons, Dan Collins and David Collins, both of Grinnell, IA, as well as a brother, Tom (Connie) Carrall, of Lamoni, IA, a half-brother, Dewey (Tammy) Carrall of Carthage, MO and a half-sister, Michelle Hines of Medford Oregon. Her five grandchildren are Leia Carrall, Gage Stuckey, Dakota, Dalton, and Dawson Sizemore. She also has two great grandchildren.

Linda was preceded in death by a sister, Kathy Carrall, who died in 1966.

A visitation for Linda Carrall, 57, of Unionville, MO, will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at Playle and Jones Family Funeral Home in Unionville, MO. Following cremation of the body, a private graveside service will be held at a later date.
