Maurine E. Lowe

Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great and Great-Great Grandmother and Aunt, Maurine E. Lowe, age 90, of Mount Pleasant, IA passed into God’s hands on July 3, 2015.

She was a very strong, independent, hard working women who loved life and she will be missed by all who knew her. She was born in Novelty, MO on October 1, 1924. She met and married Garnett P. Lowe they then moved to Burlington, IA. They spent many years there. She moved to San Diego, CA to be closer to her only daughter Patricia P. Smith and only grandson Jeffrey R. Smith. In later years she moved to Apple Valley, MN to be closer to her grandson who was diagnosed with cancer and her granddaughter-in-law and great grandson. She spent the last couple of years in Mt. Pleasant, IA. She was a very loving, involved, dedicated Grandmother. May she now be at peace joining her late husband, daughter and grandson in heaven above.

She is survived by her granddaughter-in-law, Bonnie M. Smith and great grandson, Nicholas J. Smith of Apple Valley, MN, her great granddaughter, Heather C. Smith (David) of Grand Junction, CO and great-great grandchildren, Jillyan, Kaden, Michael & Easton, nephew, Gerald Browning of Moberly, MO, niece, Tina Abbey (Jeff) and daughters, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by husband; daughter and grandson.

Arrangements are being made by Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Kirksville, MO with a family graveside service being held at Maple Hills Cemetery on Friday July 10, 2015.
