Forrest Dean Vincent
Forrest Dean Vincent, 81 of Trenton, MO passed away Monday (July 20, 2015) at Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton.
The son of Bill and Erma (Suiter) Vincent, he was born October 27, 1933 in Button Ridge, Putnam County, MO. On May 24, 1958 in Kirksville he was united in marriage to Ruby Briggs.
Forrest is survived by his wife, Ruby; one son, Steve Vincent and wife Geri of Ft. Scott, KS; one daughter, Connie Kay Followwill and husband Ronald of Galt, MO; five grandchildren, Amber Followwill Cunningham, Aaron Followwill, Vanessa Davis, Canaan Davis, and Cameron Johnson; one brother, Pearl Vincent of Queen City, MO; and one sister, Irene Armstrong of Memphis, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Johnny Vincent.
Forrest attended school in Putnam and Schuyler Counties. He served two years in the United States Army. He worked for the Florsheim Shoe Factory and the highway department.
He was a member of the Galt Christian Church and a 50 year member of Greentop Lodge #635 A.F. & A.M.. He was an avid outdoors man and most of all enjoyed hunting and fishing. Forrest was a man who never met a stranger and could carry on a conversation with anyone. He lived an active life and made the most of the time allotted him until the Lord called him home.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday (July 23, 2015) at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home with Reverend Stan Richardson officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Cemetery near Graysville, MO.
Pallbearers will be Paul McCabe, Robert Wade, Bill Waits, Dan Peterson, Ronald Followwill and Aaron Followwill.
Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the
Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home
