Lloyd F. Bushnell Jr. of Queen City, Missouri passed away Saturday, January 31st at the Schuyler County Nursing Home where he had been since January 14.

The son of Lloyd F. Sr. and Clara Elizabeth (Swanson) Bushnell, Lloyd was born on December 23, 1928 in Topeka, KS. On September 21, 1947 he was united in marriage to Louise Weldon who survives, they celebrated 62 years together.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Lola Musick and one granddaughter, Stephanie Bushnell in infancy.

Lloyd is survived by his wife Louise, one daughter, Sherry Parrish of LaPlata, MO; two sons, Roger Bushnell and wife Joy of Unionville, MO, David Bushnell of Quincy, IL; nine grandchildren, Nancy Berryman and husband Craig of Harker Heights, TX., Jason Bushnell and wife Amy of Unionville, MO, Adam Bruner and wife Dawn of Kirksville, MO, Tony Bushnell and wife Carma of Columbia, MO, Kristie Francis and husband Todd of Paris, MO, Brian Bushnell of Quincy, IL, Katie Parrish of Maryville, MO, DeAnn Bushnell of Knox City, MO and Amy Bushnell of Edina, MO; nine great ­grandchildren, Natalie, Emma, Amber and Courtney, Jaden, Samuel and Sophia of Columbia, MO, Audrey of Edina, MO and Emma of Paris, MO; one sister, Opal Wieneke and husband Raymond of Stewartsville, MO, one brother, Russell Bushnell and wife Rosabelle of Queen City, MO.

Lloyd's family moved from Speed, KS to Sikeston, MO in 1934 and then to Schuyler county in 1937 when he was 9 years old. He attended the Satterfield School until 8th grade and went to Queen City high school until he graduated in 1947. In 1958 he moved to the family farm west of Queen City where he raised his family and resided until his death. .

Lloyd loved his family, farming and his buddies Pat and Burl. His devotion and faith in God was evident by his love and concern for his neighbors and those around him, he was the epitome of the good neighbor. No one was refused if they asked for help. He will be greatly missed by family and his neighbors.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday (Feb. 3, 2009) in the Dooley Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Bushnell officiating. Music will be “Wings of a Dove” and “When They Ring Those Golden Bells”. Burial will be in the Queen City Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Grandsons and Grandsons-in-law.

Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday (Feb. 2, 2009) at the
