Anna Jolene Motter, 78, of Kirksville, MO passed away Monday, February 16, 2009, at her home.

The daughter of Bryan and Bessie V. (Gray) Miller, Jolene was born August 16, 1930 in western Adair County, Missouri. On April 2, 1950 in Kirksville, MO she was united in marriage to Clyde S. Motter.

Jolene is survived by her husband of 58 years, Clyde; two daughters, Judy E. Forrester and her husband, Dana of Independence, MO and Joyce Niece and her husband, Frank of Greentop, MO; four grandchildren, Matthew March, Bryan March and his wife, Grace, Adam Forrester and Allison Howell and her husband, Brett; two great-grandchildren, Lyndi Jo and Lilyan Grace March and two brothers, George D. Miller of Kirksville, MO and Dean Miller and his wife, Tisha of Cheyenne, WY.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister-in-law, Mildred Miller.

Jolene was reared in Adair County, MO attending the Mulberry School, Greentop School and the Kirksville High School, graduating with the Class of 1948. She attended Northeast Missouri State College (now Truman State University). She was employed at the Glove Factory and then worked for Truman State University until retiring in 1978.

Jolene was a member of the First Christian Church in Kirksville, Kirksville Chapter #184, O.E.S., El Kadir Jewels, Women of the Moose and the Red Hat Society. Jolene loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to read, camping and shopping. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 19, 2009, at the Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home with Reverend John Dugan officiating. Music will be provided by Dwight Buckingham singing “In The Garden” and “The Old Rugged Cross”, accompanied by Mary Goodman, organist. Burial will be in the Park View Memorial Gardens in Kirksville, MO.

Pallbearers will be Dale Motter, Brent Motter, Matthew March, Bryan March, Adam Forrester and Brett Howell.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jim Baldwin, Dr. Ferrel Moots and the Board of Directors and Employees of the Bank of Kirksville.

Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 to 8:00 Wednesday evening, February 18, 2009, at the
