Lois Irene Baker 90, of Kirksville, Missouri passed away Saturday, September 12, 2015 at St. Mary’s Health Center, Jefferson City, Missouri.

She was born in Reger, Mo on May 31, 1925, the daughter of Myron “Pete” Williams and Myrtle (Rardon) Williams. In 1942 she married Commodore Dixon in Green City, Missouri and in 1945 she married Merle Baker in Queen City, Missouri.

Surviving are one daughter, Carole McFarland (John) of Osage Beach, Missouri; two sons, Larry Baker (Vicky) of Kirksville, Missouri; Ronald Baker (Joyce) of Camdenton, Missouri; brothers, Derold Clark of Alberta Canada; Robert Williams (Winnie) of Kirksville, Missouri; sisters Bonnie Webb of Rock Island, Illinois; Nadine Bunch (Melvin) of Kirksville, Missouri; Geraldine Billington, Kirksville, Missouri; grand-children, John McFarland (Marilen), Christina Helms (Tony), Tammy Simpson, Traci Clark, Jennifer Druffel, Melissa Prather (Shane), Aaron Baker, great grand-children, Megan McFarland, Kody Helms, Luke Helms, T.J. Helms, Justin Simpson; Troy Mendenhall, Mataya Mendenhall, Tommy Snyder, Tessa Turner, Dusty Norman, Jacob Brazzle, Braedon Druffel, Samantha Druffel, Dakoda Baker, Raine Prather, Megan Prather, Trenton Prather, Hayden Prather, Keenan Prather, great great grand-children, Jordan Simpson, Kimber Simpson, Karson Mendenhall, Kolby Mendenhall, Kaley Mendenhall.

She was preceded in death by parents, son Theodore Dixon, brother and sisters; Arthur Clark, Bessie Williams, Ida Rose Smith, Myrtle Williams, Herb Williams, Patricia Williams, Virginia Atkins. Grandchildren Larry Baker Jr., Terri Jo Simpson, Angela Baker.
Lois was raised in Sullivan County and after coming to Kirksville to care for an elderly lady she graduated from Kirksville High School in 1944. She was employed at the telephone company and worked many years at the Glove Factory until it closed. She was a member of the First Church of God and the Rebekah Lodge. She loved to quilt and quilted several blue ribbon quilts. She raised her three children on her own and loved spending time and doing things with her brothers and sisters.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00p.m. Thursday September 17, 2015 at the First Church of God (2900 S. Haliburton) in Kirksville, Missouri with Reverend David Strong officiating. Entombment will be in the Garden of Prayer Mausoleum at Park View Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00pm Thursday at the First Church of God in Kirksville, Missouri.

Pallbearers will be: Troy Mendenhall, John McFarland, Aaron Baker, Tony Helms, Justin Simpson, Raine Prather and Roy Turner.
