Patrecia Lou Shultz
Patrecia (Patty) Shultz of Greentop passed away Wednesday (September 30, 2015) in Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.
The daughter of Teddy Alva and Leantha Arlene (Dunham) McAlster, she was born May 30, 1943 in Kirksville. On November 22, 1962 in Memphis, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Paul Ervin Shultz and to this union one son, Douglas Ervin was born.
She is survived by her husband, Paul; her son, Douglas and wife Regina of Bloomfield, IA; two grandchildren, Jesse Craig Shultz of Williamsberg, IA and Kayleigh Arizone Shultz of Omaha, NE; three Aunts, Nadine Dunham of Kirksville, Avis McBee of Memphis, and Hazel Adams Potter of Warrensburg; a sister and brother-in-law out of state; a sister-in-law, Barbara McAlster of Kirksville and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Michael McAlster; her In-Laws, Ed and Dean Shultz and her grandparents.
Patty grew up in Baring, MO where she attended school, graduating from the Baring High School with the class of 1961, where she won the Commercial Award. Patty and Paul lived in Baring and Kirksville before moving to Greentop in 1969. She did factory work, worked for several years as a school cooks helper at the Schuyler County Schools, and was a housewife.
She was a member of the Queen City Christian Church where she was baptized on October 10, 2014. She enjoyed her family and grandchildren. She also liked camping, crocheting, reading, and going to car shows with Paul.
Patrecia was Paul’s perfect partner for over fifty years and the love of his life. She will be greatly missed.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday (October 2, 2015) at the Dooley Funeral Home with Pastor George Bradburn officiating. Burial will be in the Willmathville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Darrell Shultz, Cory Shultz, Collin Schultz, Larry Daniels, Howard Lee, and Denny Lee.
Visitation will be after noon on Thursday (October 1, 2015) in the
Dooley Funeral Home
