Phyllis Jean Cooke

Phyllis Jean Cooke. 67 of Brashear passed away Friday (October 23, 2015) at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.

Phyllis is the daughter of Harry and Betty (DeRyke) Colegrove. She was born December 7, 1947 in Odell, NE

Phyllis graduated from Endicott High school in Endicott, NE. She lived in Topeka, KS, Tampa, FL and Kansas City, MO where she spent 25 years working for Garney Construction. She then moved to Brashear and spent 10 years working for Ortech in Kirksville, MO before retiring. She loved gardening, flowers, ceramics, crossword puzzles, rodeos, her grandkids and especially her dog (Bubba).

Phyllis is survived by her companion, Fred Housman of Brashear, MO; two step-sons, Duayne Housman of Brashear, MO, Casey Housman of St. Joseph, MO; one niece, Beverly Karik of Denver, CO; two nephews, Fred Boden of Houston, TX, Randy Hands of Omaha, NE; five step-grandchildren, Hayden Housman, Skylar Housman, Garrett Housman, Avery Housman, and Hudson Housman.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters Glenda McWilliams; Lorraine Ann Boden and one brother Billy Colegrove.

Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday (October 31, 2015) at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home with Virgil Jones officiating.

Phyllis wishes were to be cremated and memorials are suggested to the Brashear Booster Club.
