Judith Mcfarland

Judith McFarland, 68 of LaPlata, MO passed away Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the Boone Hospital in Columbia, MO.

The daughter of Eugene and Thora (Groenbeck) Hanna she was born on February 7, 1947 in Pleasant Valley, IA. On January 16, 1967 in Stockport, IA she was united in marriage to Harold Lee McFarland, Sr. who survives.

Judith is also survived by her children, Harold McFarland, Jr and long-time companion Jean Ann Gillespie of Kirksville, MO, Johnny McFarland of LaPlata, MO, DeAnna (Brian) Shoop of Kirksville, MO and Sue McFarland of Kirksville, MO; sister, JoAnna (Junior) Gibson of Davenport, IA; grandchildren, Bradley Frazier, Jr., Frankie Shoop, Sharon Shoop, Carolyn Shoop, Chris Shoop, Brian Shoop, Jr., Clarissa McFarland, Justin McFarland, Matthew McFarland, Coy McFarland, Clayton McFarland and Ashley McFarland; great grandchildren, Keria Grifftn, Jayden McFarland and Mia Shoop.

Judith was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Janet Beverlin; great grandchildren, Frankie Shoop, Jr. and Jasper Shoop.

Judith was born and raised in Davenport, IA and after her marriage they moved to Texas for a short time. She worked in the health care industry for many years, then they moved to Kirksville, MO.

Judith was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved everyone and people where always welcomed in her home.

A memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at the Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Kirksville, MO with Reverend John Dungan officiating. Musical selection will be “See You Again”, “Dancing In the Sky” and “How Am I Supposed To Live Without You”.

Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at the Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home.
