Barbara Lynn Peek 59, of Unionville, MO passed away at the Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, MO on April 11, 2009 after a year long battle with cancer.
Barbara Peek was born on October 1, 1949 in Davenport, IA the daughter of Lester and Hervilla (Hoffman) Wulf. On July 20, 1964 Barbara Married Larry Peek in Davenport, IA and Larry survives at the home.
Barbara found her joy in spoiling her children and grandchildren. They learned quickly grandma would serve up most anything they requested. Barbara also enjoyed playing cards, working her puzzle books, and playing games on her computer. Barbara spent her quiet time watching her humming birds and listening to country music oldies. She will be truly missed.
In addition to Barbara’s husband Larry, she is survived by her 7 children, Larry Peek and wife Ronda of Centerville, IA; Mark Peek and wife Lynette of Unionville, MO; Debbie Hurley and husband Doug of Unionville, MO; Brian Peek and wife Nikki of Meta, MO; Cindy Lange; Jeff Peek and wife Rhonda; and Kim Webber and friend all of Unionville, MO. Barbara is also survived by 14 grandchildren, Miranda Peek, Darien Peek, Amber Hatfield, Courtney Peek, Samantha Peek, Jake Wolf, Heather Peek, Hunter Peek, Zach Wingate, Jenna Peek, Daren Lowe, Krysten Webber, Kelsy Webber, and Bryer Webber.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by 2 sisters.
Funeral Services for Barbara Peek will be at Playle and Jones Family Funeral Home in Unionville, MO, on Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Mark Waits will conduct the service. Casket bearers will be Larry Peek, Mark Peek, Brian Peek, Jeff Peek, Tim Webber, and Dough Hurley. A recorded song, “Sail Away to Heaven” was played.
Memorials for Barbara are suggested to the family in lieu of flowers and may be entrusted to the Playle and Jones Family Funeral Home, 709 S. 27th, Unionville, MO 63565.
