Bobby Dean Clark 61, of Kirksville passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at the University of Missouri Medical Center in Columbia, MO.
The son of Robert T. And Geneva (Truitt) Clark, Bobby was born March 30, 1948 in Kirksville.
Bobby is survived by his special friend, Vickie Clark; three sons, Bobby Gale Clark of LaPlata, MO, James Clark and wife, Tracy of LaPlata, MO and Brandon Clark and wife, Rachael of Kirksville; one daughter, Tonya Stewart and husband, Mike of Lindale, TX; fifteen grandchildren, Keanie Clark, Alex Juarez, Sierra Clark, Michael Powers, Blake, Braxton, Bailey and Breley Clark, Katy Hayes, Jaye Lauren Clark, Lee Wayne Clark, Christian Spratt, Tommy Snyder, Tessa Turner and Dusty Norman; one brother, Glen David Clark and wife, Sharon of Kirksville; one sister, Peggy Hanlin and husband, Jim of Brashear, MO and one nephew, David Wayne Clark.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Danny Clark and one niece, Glenna Clark.
Bobby was reared in the Adair County area. He attended Benton School and Kirksville High School. He was employed at the Florsheim Shoe Factory, the City of Kirksville for 13 years and was a self employed contractor of several years.
Bobby enjoyed hunting and fishing and he loved to go to the boats and gamble.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 2009, at the Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Chapel with Virgil Jones officiating. Musical selections will be “He Stopped Loving Her Today” by George Jones, “The Dance” by Garth Brooks and “Go Rest High On That Mountain”. Burial will be in the Highland Park Cemetery in Kirksville.
Pallbearers will be Robert Humphrey, Chad Tippett, Jerry Flynn, Terry Tooley, Brad Moncrief and Kenny Peavler. Honorary bearers will be Roy Thudium, Walter Mullenix, Billy Bunch and Loren “Buddy” Garmen.
Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 to 8:00 Friday evening, April 17, 2009, at the
Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home
