Alexander John Belamiza age 72 of Kirksville Missouri passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at his home in Kirksville Missouri

He was born November 9, 1943, in Macon, Missouri, the son of Peter Belamiza (born in Russia) and Olevia Belamiza. Whom both preceded him in death.

He is preceded in death by his only son, John Pruett Belamiza on July 6, 2012, his brother, Robert Miller of Mesa, Arizona and his Brother in Law, Wilson P. Bailey, DO.

He is survived by his sisters, Barbara Bailey of Kirksville and Patricia Belamiza of Tucson, AZ; his grandson, Giovanni Belamiza of Fort Myers, FL; his nieces, Valerie Bailey Kline and her husband Kevin Kline DO of Kirksville, Robin Miller of Liberty, MO and great nieces Megan, Morgan, and Mandy Taylor; his nephews, Robert Miller of Columbia, John Bailey DO of Kirksville and his son Lucas, Chris and Daniel and great nephew, Sun Bear of Tucson, AZ.

Command Master Sgt. Alexander Belamiza was retired from the United States Air Force having served multiple tours in Vietnam. He enjoyed retirement for many years in Omaha, Nebraska which he was a real estate agent and managed multiple businesses. Then relocated to Tucson, Arizona and worked for the state of Arizona then moved back to Kirksville, Missouri and continued his retirement.

Mr. Belamiza enjoyed camping and fishing in his retirement. He also enjoyed conversations with his grandson, great nieces and great-nephews and instructing them on the finer aspects of fishing. He enjoyed life, interacting and conversing with everyone and spending time with family and friends.

Visitation and Funeral Service will be at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home. Visitation will be at 1pm on Tuesday (February 9, 2016) at the funeral home with the funeral immediately following at 2pm along with grave side military services at Park View Memorial Gardens.
