Boyd Halford, 73 of Greentop passed away Thursday (February 18, 2016) at his home.

The son of Ervin and Pauline (Rhoades) Halford, he was born January 10, 1943 in El Paso, TX. On September 9, 2004 he was united in marriage to Connie Pinkerton.

Boyd is survived by his wife, Connie; one sister, Judy Bradshaw and husband Bill of Norwood, MO; two nephews, Steve and Doug Bradshaw; one niece, Christy (Travis) Black; several great nieces and nephews; step children, Troy (Wendy) Pinkerton of Kirksville, Christopher (Jody) Pinkerton of Kirksville and James (Christina) Pinkerton of Kirksville; five step grandchildren, Riley, Carter, Caitlin, Brooks and Fabian.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Boyd attended school in Norwood, MO where he graduated High School. He attended Ozark Bible College. He became an ordained minister at the age of 19. He was the founder and camp director of Camp Victory for 43 years. He was in the ministry for 53 years, preaching locally and nationwide. He enjoyed playing and singing and was on channel 3 locally in the 1970’s. He produced many records, songs and poems; making records with local artists.

He was a member of ministerial associations in Missouri and surrounding states. He enjoyed woodworking, welding and singing.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday (February 20, 2016) at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home with Reverend Bill Eakins officiating. Burial will be in Refuge Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the:
