Clifford Garrett

Clifford Wayne Garrett, 61 of Brashear, MO passed away Tuesday (March 22, 2016) at Northeast Regional Medical Center.

The son of Charley Elson and Juanita Fern (Long) Garrett, he was born July 1, 1954 in Kirksville, MO. On December 4, 1977 in Downing, MO he was united in marriage to Jane L. Binkley.

Clifford is survived by his children: Teresa Lynch and husband Willard of LaBelle, MO, Ruth Ann Robertson of Kirksville, Sheila Sykes of Hurdland, MO, Sara Florea and husband Billy of Florissant, MO and Douglas Garrett of Hurdland, MO; one brother, Raymond Garrett and wife Pixie of Orion, IL; four sisters, Marridee Davis of LaPlata, MO, Arleta Miller of Lancaster, MO, Sharon Clark and husband, David of Kirksville, MO and Marilyn Wilson and husband, Robert of Rockport, TX; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Charles Garrett Jr, Gary Garrett, and Terry Garrett.

Clifford grew up in the Bible Grove and Memphis area. He worked for several years for Producers Creamery in Kirksville until it closed. He then farmed and did lawn mowing until he went to work for Adair Foods in 1994 where he worked for 16 years until he retired.

He was a former member of the Moose Lodge. He loved to dance, fish and his old tractor.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday (March 26, 2016) at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home with Pastor Sonny Smyser officiating. Burial will be in Campgounds Cemetery near Downing, MO.

Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday (March 25, 2016) at the
