Graveside service for 59 year old Wayne Dean FIynn of Worthington will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday (May 5, 2009) at the Jimtown Cemetery north east of Worthington with Pastor Roger Bushnell officiating. Mr. FIynn passed away Friday evening (May 1, 2009) in the University Hospital in Columbia.
The son of Norman Guy and Bernice Marie (Ayer) Flynn, he was born in Schuyler County on January 23, 1950. Surviving are seven sisters, Imogene Williams and husband Jerry of Greentop, MO, Shirley Morrow of Graysville, MO, Donna Yoakum and husband Leroy of Kirksville, Carolyn Rude of Kirksville, Nancy Buford and husband Danny of Downing, MO, Lois Glaspie and husband Burl of Kirksville, and Marilyn Kinney and husband Richard of Kirksville; two brothers, Keith Flynn and wife Violet of Kingston, OK and Jack Flynn of Kirksville; twenty nine nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews and a companion of several years, Cindy Dunkin.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a twin brother and sister in infancy.
Dean spent his entire life in Schuyler and Putnam County and attended the Worthington school. He liked his dogs and enjoyed riding his bicycle and lawn mower around town. He enjoyed trading, swapping or working out deals with people. He never new a stranger and was always ready to help any one who was in need. Dean will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 pm Tuesday in the Dooley Funeral Chapel with the family receiving friends at that time. Pallbearers will be Edward Robbins, David Robbins, Junior Robbins, Kenny Branscom, Daniel Boswell and Joe Robbins.
