Loretta Cowles

Loretta Mae Cowles, 77 of Novinger, MO passed away Saturday (March 26, 2016) at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.

The daughter of Virgil L. and Rose Lea (Gillispie) McFarland, she was born November 17, 1938 in Connelsville, MO. On December 17, 1960 in Novinger, MO she was united in marriage to Donald Cowles.

Loretta is survived by her husband, Donald; two daughters, Peggy Sue Dixon and husband Rick of Jacksonville, NC and Julie Marie Cowles of Kirksville; three sisters, Florence Waddill of Blue Grass, IA, Lexie Bland of Novinger, MO and Tillie McFarland of Novinger, MO; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and two brothers.

Loretta will be cremated and no service will be held. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home.
