Austin D'Souza

October 24, 1958 — March 24, 2016

Austin Eugene D'Souza, fondly known as the" PIANO MAN" by his family and friends died unexpectedly on March 24, 2016 in California, at age 57. He had been ill, yet in spite of his incredible pain worked as much as he could.

His friends and co-workers loved him and he was the top seller at his employment.

He is survived by his younger sister Anita Andersen and her daughter Lisa of Wichita, KS, his older brothers Alfred D'Souza, Anthony D'Souza and his children, brother Alan D'Souza and his daughters, Angela and Anna Maria D'Souza, and brother Arthur D'Souza.

He was preceded in death by his mother Irene D'Souza in 2015 (which devastated him); Dr. Anthony C D'Souza in 1975, and his sister Arlene Angela D'Souza in 1971.

His father’s scholarship earned him naturalization through legislation which granted visas to foreigners demonstrating extraordinary ability.

Austin is especially missed by his family and friends in California, as well as his family in U.K., Portugal, Canada, Australia, and Malaysia.

A memorial Mass will be performed at Mary Immaculate Church in Kirksville on Saturday, April 9, at 11 am, with a viewing at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Kirksville, on April 8 between 4-8 pm.

After his memorial Mass, he will have a graveside burial at Highland Park Cemetery in Kirksville.
