Johnny Paul Snowbarger

Johnny Paul “JP” Snowbarger, 75, a resident of Greentop, Missouri, died Sunday, June 19, 2016 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf, Iowa.

Born on December 13, 1940 in Queen City, Missouri, JP was the son of A.J. and Grace Snowbarger. He was a 1958 graduate of Queen City High School. In 1960 he married Ruth Marie King. She preceded him in death in 1999.

JP was an Iron worker for the Iron Workers Local 111 where he retired from in 1995. JP loved working in his yard and tending to his garden, which was always plentiful. He was an avid fan of the Pontiac Trans Am and Chevrolet Camaro, which he was an owner of several.

Those left to honor his memory include two sons, Jonathan (Tina) Snowbarger of Durant, Iowa and Michael Snowbarger of Wheatland, Iowa; six grandchildren, Kyle, Justin, Mikayla, Mackenzie, Jalen, Brandon; and a sister, Barbara.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Roene.

Funeral service celebrating his life will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Dooley Funeral Home in Queen City, Missouri. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home. Burial will be at Queen City Cemetery.
