Linda “Kay” Shultz, 72, of Unionville, MO passed away at the Putnam County Memorial Hospital on Friday, June 17, 2016.
Kay Shultz was born in Kansas City, MO on September 19, 1943, the daughter of Dale and Virginia Ream. On December 9, 1960 she married Jerry Shultz in Unionville, MO. Kay spent her entire life tending to her family and home. Kay enjoyed crafting, especially sewing and crocheting. Kay collected stamps and coins and enjoyed going to auctions. She attended the Stringtown Church when her health allowed, but most of all Kay shuffled her grandchildren to and from their many events. Family was the most important thing in Kay’s life.
Kay is survived by a daughter, Cindy Harbert and husband Greg and a son, Jeff Shultz both of Unionville, MO. Kay’s surviving grandchildren are Brook Fleshman and husband Kyle, Brandy Shultz, Britney Brundage and husband Reggie, Brant Harbert, Jace Harbert and wife Brandi all of Unionville, MO. Kay’s surviving great grandchildren are Torqe, Reise, Traylen, Aiden, Kasen, Dakota, and Emmitt. Kay is also survived by a sister, Lee Baughman and husband Rick of Glenwood, MO and brothers, Hank Ream and wife Maritza, Joe Ream and wife Tammy of Unionville, MO. Kay’s surviving mother and father-in-law are Clyde and Jenny Shultz of Unionville, MO as well as sisters-in-law, Shelle Howard of Unionville, MO and Penny Blue and husband Chuck of Livonia, MO and many nephews and nieces.
Kay was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Shultz; parents, Dale and Virginia Ream; brother-in-law, Kevin Howard; and an infant sister-in-law, Candace Shultz.
Memorial for Kay are suggested to the Lion’s Club and may be entrusted to the Playle and Collins Family Funeral Home, 709 S. 27th St., Unionville, MO 63565.
