Geneva Schuster
Geneva Schuster, 94, formerly of Unionville, MO, passed away at the Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, MO, on Sunday, June 7, 2009. She had been a resident of the Twin Pines Care Center in Kirksville the last few years.
Helen Geneva Schuster was born November 9, 1914 in Sidney, MO, the daughter of Aaron Martin and Frona Visa Ellen (Embree) Wiles, who preceded her in death. Geneva was united in marriage to John Eustace Schuster on August 15, 1934 and he preceded her in death on September 23, 1974. To this union one son was born, James A. Schuster, of Martinstown, MO.
Geneva lived in the Martinstown area where she and John were engaged in farming. She enjoyed people, was a club member and engaged in community activities. She also loved gardening and having flowers and a well kept yard. Geneva was a member of the Martinstown Church of Christ and had many friends in the area.
Geneva was a loving person and always there in the time of need. She set an example and was an inspiration on how one should live. Geneva was very strong and fought to the very end when no one thought it was possible. Her guiding light will be missed.
In addition to her son, Geneva is survived by four grandchildren, Amy DeLeon and husband Xavier of Kirksville, MO; Anita White and husband Mike of Kirksville, MO; Dr. Tina Schuster of Pittsburgh, PA; and James D. Schuster of Navarre, FL. Four great grandchildren also survive and they are Xavier Luke, Emily, and Kimberly DeLeon, and Arayna White. A sister, Nadine Sparks, of Unionville, MO, also survives.
Geneva was preceded in death by a grandson, John DeLeon, and a brother, Kenneth Wiles.
