Jerry Kruger

Jerry Alfred Kruger age 80, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2016, at the Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal, MO.

The son of Alfred and Freda (Hassedt) Kruger, Jerry was born May 16, 1936 in Fairmount, Minnesota. On January 16, 1954 he was united in marriage to Shirley Wacholtz in the St. Johns Lutheran Church in Sherburn, MN, who survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Jerry Lynn Kruger and wife, Becky of Kirksville, MO and Timothy Scott Kruger and wife, Tanya of Anamosa, IA; three daughters, Debbie Jo Kruger of Moscow, ID, Jody Eileen Nelson and husband, Chris of Kietchikan, Alaska and Julia Rouse of Novinger, MO; eight grandchildren; numerous great and great-grandchildrren and three sisters, Joyce Flowers of Marshall, MN, Donna of Sioux Falls, S.D. and Carol.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers and sisters.

Jerry was reared in Fairmount, Minnesota. After his marriage they lived in several places. They moved to Edina, MO and worked for the Campbell Farms for 20 years. Later they moved to Anamosa, IA where he worked for Strickler Farms for several years. After his retirement they moved to a farm south of Hurdland, MO. Jerry really loved his “wee” farm and taking care of his lawn, garden and his animals. Especially his little “Sassy”. He was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church. May the Lord bless him with a little piece of heaven to care for!
