Hannah Tena Coorts, 104, was welcomed into the kingdom of heaven July 11, 2016 at Twin Pines nursing home in Kirksville, Mo. She was born on a farm near Emden Ill, on Nov. 30th 1911 to Hannah Schmidt and John Frederick Wubben. She married Ralph A. Coorts on January 20, 1931. Hannah and Ralph raised their four sons, Gerald, Wade, Dale and Larry on their family farm near Linneus, Mo. She moved to Kirksville in 1975 after her husband Ralph passed away.
She is survived by two sons and spouses Wade and Marilyn Coorts of Kirksville, Mo. and Larry and Sandy Coorts of Branson, Mo. and two daughters in law Annette Coorts Flanders and Margarette Coorts Ruch. She was preceded in death by Ralph A. Coorts her husband and two sons Gerald and Dale.
Mrs. Coorts was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church of Kirksville and loved to garden, read, play games and was an avid Cardinals fan. As a family we find ourselves in awe of the matriarch of the Coorts clan. As we think back on her life we are reminded of her strong faith in God, dedicated work ethic, gracious hospitality, tenacity, loyalty, love and laugher. She is the grandmother of 8, great grandmother of 13 and great great grandmother of 6. This service will be a tribute to the long life of a beloved woman.
Hannahs life will be celebrated at the Faith Lutheran Church in Kirksville. Officiated by Reverend Mark Appold and Reverend Richard Schlueter. Visitation will be held Thursday July 14th at the church at 10am followed by the service at 11am. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery N. Morley street Moberly MO following the service.
