Kay Williams, 66 of Kirksville passed away Wednesday (July 20, 2016) at Twin Pines adult Care Center.

The daughter of Otis D. and Mary Kathryn (Shaw) Thomas, she was born October 5, 1949 in Kirksville, MO. On December 12, 1975 in Kirksville, MO she was united in marriage to John Williams.

Kay is survived by her husband, John; one son, Darrell Williams and wife Tracy of Kirksville; one daughter, Radonna Wells and husband Winston of Columbia, MO; step daughter, Julie NcNew and husband Jared of Platte City, MO; six grandchildren, Matthew (Ashley) Williams of San Diego, CA, Thomas Williams of Kirksville, Saige and Rayne Wells of Columbia, MO, Jennifer NcNew of Kirksville, and Jasmine McNew of Platte City, MO; two great grandchildren, Anthony and Ivory Williams; one aunt, Theresa Hewitt of Willmathsville, MO and four cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; and one uncle, Junior Hewitt.

Kay grew up in Kirksville and graduated from Kirksville High School in 1967. She was employed for many years with Hollister Inc. until she retired.

She was a member of Kirksville Garden Club, Greentop Eastern Star, and First Church of God. She was a master gardener and enjoyed gardening, sewing, her pets and riding motorcycles.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday (July 24, 2016) at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Grogg officiating. Entombment will be the Maple Hills Mausoleum.

Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the
