Barbara Maxine Green
Barbara Maxine Green of Mission, KS passed away Saturday (August 6, 2016) at the age of 89.
Barbara was born to Max Harlan and Mina Rose (Mulford) Green on April 22, 1927 in Trenton, MO. She graduated from Galt High School, in Galt, MO in 1945 eventually settling in Kansas City around 1955.
Barbara was a long-time member of the Roland Park Methodist Church. She was an avid bridge player, she loved to travel and enjoyed aerobics, sewing, and doing all types of crafts. Barbara retired from Puritan-Bennett Corp. in February 1992 following nearly 37 years of service.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Max and Rose Green; two brothers, Bob and Jimmy; her sister, Laura Jean Nevins, and a great nephew, Shaun Nevins.
Barbara is survived by her brother-in-law, James Nevins of Kirksville, MO; nieces and nephews Terry Nevins (Trina) of Elko, NV; Mike Nevins (Sandy) of New Port Richie, FL; Laurie Bragg of Platte City, MO; Russ Nevins (Lori) of Lees Summit, MO; and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be Tuesday, August 16, 2016 @ 6:30 p.m. with Reverend Gabriel Marrero at the Roeland Park United Methodist Church in Roeland Park, Kansas. Burial will be on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Jenkins Cemetery in Browning, MO with Pastor Sue Lambert, officiating the service.
