Arthur J. Webber, 86, of Kirksville, MO, passed away at University Hospital and Clinics in Columbia, MO, on Wednesday, August 24, 2016, following a battle with pancreatic cancer.

Arthur Junior Webber was born in Unionville, MO, on November 2, 1929, the son of Arthur and Nellie (Miller) Webber, who preceded him in death. He was reared in Putnam County and after his school years he joined the United States Army, serving his country in Korea during the war. After his discharge from service Arthur joined his brother Cleo in the mining and farming business in Putnam County. Arthur later moved to Kirksville where he worked as a mechanic for Otto Peterson Motors. Arthur then worked at Hollister in Kirksville from 1972 until his retirement in 1992. Arthur married Wanda Hall in October of 1960 and she survives at home.

Arthur enjoyed caring for his lawn, walking, and watching western movies. He liked to shop at Wal-Mart and attend church. He love to sing the gospel songs at church. Arthur was a faithful and loving husband and his greatest love was to be a husband, father and grandfather.

In addition to his wife, Arthur is survived by two daughters, Melissa Anne Webber of Denver, CO, and Melanie Alta Webber of Kirksville, MO. He is also survived by two granddaughters, Erica and Ava Kalhoefer as well as a brother, Robert Eugene Webber and his wife Regina of Keytesville, MO, and a sister, Edna Mae Hurtado of Kansas City, KS.

Arthur was preceded in death by brothers Cleo, Larry, Gary and Archie Webber, and sisters, Louise Machlan, Eileen Buckalew, and Norma June Webber.

Funeral services of Arthur Webber will be at Playle and Collins Family Funeral Home in Unionville, MO, at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 27, 2016, with visitation one hour prior to the service. According to his wishes, Arthur will be cremated and interment will take place in the Unionville Cemetery at a later date.

Memorials are suggested to the Omaha Baptist Church building fund and may be entrusted with Playle and Collins Family Funeral Home, 709 S. 27th St., Unionville, MO 63565.
