Charlie Beach age 79, passed away Monday afternoon, August 29, 2016, at his home in Kirksville, MO.
Charlie was born March 25, 1937 in Millard, MO, the son of Louis Charles and Elpha Isabell (Gross) Beach. He was united in marriage to Kay Pruett on May 11, 1958 in Kirksville, MO, who survives.
Also surviving is one son, John Randall (Randy) Beach and wife, Janet; one daughter, Debrah Hudnall and husband, Brian; one brother, Donald Beach and wife, Jo; one sister, Mary Lou McGlothlin and husband, Dale; four grandchildren, Jeremy Beach, Amber Lopez, Heather Hudnall, and Hailey Beach; four step-grandchildren, Jill Bishop, John Elam, Ben Yadon and Nicole Harris: 14 great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Charlie was raised on a farm south of Millard, MO. He attended the Millard Grade school and the LaPlata High School graduating with the Class of 1955. He worked as a carpenter for Reed Construction for 20 years and then for Irvinbilt Constructors, Inc. until his retirement.
Charlie was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Kirksville, a 50 year member of Adair Lodge #366 A. F. & A.M, also a 50 year member of the Moila Shrine Temple and he was a member of the Carpenter's Union.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, September 3, 2016, at the Davis-Playle- Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home with Reverend Richard Northcutt officiating. Musical selection will be “Amazing Grace”. Interment will be in the Park View Memorial Gardens in Kirksville, MO.
Pallbearers will be Russel Pruett, John Elam, Brian Hudnall, Jeremy Beach, Jaye Miller and Steve Calloway. Honorary Pallbearers will be Amber & Daniel Lopez, Heather Hudnall, Hailey Beach, Jill & Tom Bishop, Ben Yadon and Nicole & Scott Harris.
A Masonic service will be held at 6:00 P. M. Friday, September 2, 2016, by the Adair Lodge # 366 A.F. & A.M.
Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 to 8:00 Friday evening at the Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home
Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Northeast Missouri or the Shriners Hospital for Children. . Memorials can be left at or mailed to the funeral home.
