Kelly Van Vleck

d. August 31, 2016

Kelly Lynn (Baybo) Van Vleck age 50 passed away August 31st, 2016 peacefully in her husband’s arms at their home near Greentop, Missouri.

Kelly was born in St. Louis, Missouri on May 29th, 1966. Her father Robert Baybo survives. Her mother Peggy Barton is deceased. She is also survived by her Brother Brian Baybo and two sisters, Karen Baybo and Jeannine Ippolito. Her nephew Shaun Baybo and nieces Marlena and Mya Jones.

Kelly was educated in the Lutheran School system and graduated from Lutheran North in St. Louis. She attended and graduated from Northeast Missouri State University. She then began her life work with Preferred Family Healthcare helping others and did so for over 25 years as a counselor and program director.

Kelly attended Faith Lutheran Church and was on the school board for their school for many years. Her Church home and friends were very dear to her. Kelly had so many great friends that were really just and extension of family. She loved them all the same and with her whole heart and to name them all would take forever. She loved and was loved.

She was married to Thom Van Vleck who survives on November 3, 1990 after a 4 year courtship. Their relationship spanned 30 years. Love is not a contest, but if it were, no one loved each other more than Thom and Kelly. It was a love affair that transcends this world and some day they meet again and what a glorious day that will be.

Their love resulted in her real legacy to this world in the form of her three children. Her daughter Morgan Van Vleck (19), her son Dalton Van Vleck (17), and her youngest son Ethan (15). She loved them like a lioness loves her cubs. Her love for them was fearless and relentless. As it should be. An education fund has been set up and it is request that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the “Van Vleck Education Fund”. There will be a box for donations at the Church or they may be mailed to the Church.

The service will be September 3, 2016 at Faith Lutheran Church located at 1820 S. Baltimore St. in Kirksville Missouri. This will begin at 1:00pm. There will be no visitation before the service per Kelly’s request. She wanted there to be a gathering at our home following the service to celebrate her life. If you would like to come by details will be available after the service and you may come stay for a few minutes of the entire evening. There will be fireworks and a bonfire later.
