Criss Len Robertson, age 62, of Fulton, MO, formerly of Brashear, MO, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2016, at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, MO, surrounded by his family.
The son of Clarence L. Jr. and Marjory (Cowan) Robertson, he was born October 21, 1953 in Kirksville, MO. On May 23, 1975 in Novelty, MO, he was united in marriage to Mona Wood and to this union one daughter was born.
Criss was preceded in death by an infant brother, Carroll; parents; maternal grandparents, Eliza and Dolly Cowan; paternal grandparents, Clarence Sr. and Mary Ann (Shanks) Robertson; and several aunts and uncles.
Criss is survived by his daughter, Manda and husband, Darrel Wilmsmeyer, of Fulton, MO; two grandchildren, Laci and Levi; and one stepson, Michael and wife, Joyce Wood, of Macon, MO. He is also survived by one sister, Cathy and husband, Tim Kellison, of Brashear, MO; two brothers, Cecil and wife, Deta Robertson, of O'Fallon, MO and Craig and wife, Belinda Robertson, of Millard, MO and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Criss was a lifelong resident of Brashear, MO and graduate of the Adair Co RII High School with the Class of 1972. During the 1960's and 1970's, he taught himself to play the guitar and started a band. He entertained much of northern Missouri through his love of music throughout much of his life. Criss enjoyed camping, black powder shooting, Mountain Man Rendezvous’ and spending time with his grandchildren. Criss moved to Fulton, MO in 2003 to be closer to his daughter and family. Manda, Laci and Levi were the light of Criss's life and he was extremely proud of his son-in-law’s hard work and dedication to family.
Visitation with the family will be held Thursday, September 29, 2016 at 1pm at the Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Chapel, funeral service will follow at 2pm with Reverent Brent Shelton officiating Burial will be in the Brashear Cemetery in Brashear, MO.
Pallbearers include: Mike Wood, Tim Kellison, Jordan Wood, Travis Wood, Jonathan Wood and Curt Platz. Honorary Pallbearers include: Bob Easley and Tim Matheney.
Memorials have been suggested to the family and can be left at or sent to the funeral home.
