Barbara Lehr

Barbara Lehr, 79, of Kansas City, MO passed away October 28, 2016, with her daughters by her side.

Barbara was born January 16, 1937 in Kirksville, MO to Tom and Lavena Higgins. Barbara grew up in Kirksville where she attended school, met and eventually married her high school sweetheart, George Lehr. George and Barbara moved to Kansas City where they raised their three children.

Barbara poured all of her energy and love into her family including her brothers, in-laws, nieces, nephews and her beloved grandchildren.

Barbara is survived by her daughters Lisa (Jim) Garr and Teresa (Bill) Routt; her four grandchildren Michael Garr, Sam Garr, Katie Routt and Lily Routt; her brothers Jim, Tom and Bob, and their wives, Barbara, Suzanne and Kathy; her sister-in-law Emilene Calabria, her many nieces and nephews and her dear, dear friend John Wiss.

Barbara was preceded by her parents Tom and Lavena Higgins, her husband George Lehr and her son, George Lehr, Jr.

Visitation will be held at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Kirksville, from 6:00-8:00 pm Monday, October 31st.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, November 1st at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church in Kirksville. Interment will follow the service at Highland Park Cemetery.
