Larry Boggs of rural Martinstown, passed on to his home in heaven with his family by his side, Friday, December 23, 2016.

The son of Donald and Hazel (Williams) Boggs he was born September 17, 1941 in Queen City, Missouri. In 1957 he was united in marriage to Thelma Rude and to this marriage four children were born; Beverly Maxine, Debbie Jo, Brenda Lee, and Theresa Ann. Thelma preceded him in death on December 21, 1984. On January 1, 2003 he was united in marriage to Clara Ramona Ballew.

Larry grew up in the rural Queen City area and attended rural school in the area.

Larry always worked very hard to provide for his family. He retired from Northeast Missouri State University as the lead painter after twenty-seven years.

He is survived by his wife Clara Ramona Boggs, one daughter Brenda Hauk and friend Mark Weed, three step-children; Lisa Marie Ballew, Donald Ballew and wife Tori, and Richard Ballew and wife Phyllis, two sons-in-law; Butch Robinson and Ralph Miller. He is also survived by three sisters; Linda Capps, Olena Faye Moots, and Mary Ellen Hoffman, three brothers Donald Boggs Jr. and wife Kathy, Alvie Boggs and wife Marilyn, and David Boggs and wife Mary; eleven grandchildren Josh Robinson and wife Annie, Crystal Bridgeman and husband Travis, Tiffany Miller and friend Robert Henry, Carrie Miller, Thelma Barker, Jacob Barker, Lance Harman, Shelby Wilbur and husband Josh, Katie Ballew and fiancé Garrett, Courtney Ballew and Jared, and Audie Ballew. Also surviving are twenty-five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Thelma, three daughters; Beverly Robinson, Debbie Miller, and Theresa Boggs, and one brother James Boggs.

He attended the Liberty Full Gospel Church in Kirksville, Missouri.

Larry loved the country, activities with his family, auctions, hunting, attending church when he could, and loved his cat CC.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday (December 27, 2016) at 1:00 p.m. in the Dooley Funeral Home with Pastor Fred Baker officiating. Burial will be in the Coffey cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Travis Bridgeman, Josh Robinson, Jeff Nelson, Kenny Dooley, Jacob Barker, and Harold Robinson. Honorary Bearers will be Ralph Miller, Mark Weed, Alvie Boggs, Chase Miller, Logan Graves, and Preston Bridgeman.

Visitation will be after noon Monday (December 26, 2016) with family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to the family.
