Earl King

Earl P. King, 78 of Greentop, Missouri passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2017.

The son of Arthur and Kathryn (Clapper) King, he was born July 7, 1938. Earl was united in marriage to Margaret Hunsaker on September 16, 1960 and to this union two sons were born.

Earl is survived by his wife, Margaret; his son, Kevin and wife Bonnie of Greentop, MO; his son, Eric and wife Lacy of Kirksville, MO; four grandchildren, Travis, Lucas, Drew and Connor; a sister-in-law, Karen Croarkin and husband Gene and several nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Margaret Anesi.

Earl was raised in Greentop and graduated from Greentop High School in 1956. As a young man he worked for the family business, Clapper and King Seeds. After its sale, he began a 27 year career with Hollister Corporation until his retirement in 2000.

A celebration of life will be held at the Greentop Park Community Building located at the City Park in Greentop on Saturday, January 14, 2017, from 1 to 3 p.m.. A private burial will be held at a later date.
