Eliza Virginia Budd
August 22, 1922 – August 11, 2009
Eliza Virginia Budd was born in Mussel Fork, Missouri, on August 22, 1922. She spent her childhood in Salisbury, MO. She was married to L. Linton Budd, D.O. in April of 1943. Through her married years, she and Dr. Budd lived in Carson City, MI, Fort Worth, TX, and Kirksville, MO. Her accomplishments included President of the PTA and first woman councilman in Carson City. She held national leadership roles with the AOA Auxiliary and the Student Associate Auxiliary.
Virginia passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2009, in Kirksville, MO. She is survived by her daughter, Becky Budd Hart, and her son and his wife, Michael and Lynn Budd; and three grandchildren; Amy Budd Sanders, Richard L. Budd, and Eliza Hart Aliotta.
There is a remembrance reception to celebrate her life at Davis-Playle Hudson Rimer Funeral Home on Thursday, August 13, from 6 – 8 p.m. At 7 p.m. there will be a Memorial Service. Entombment will be at the Maple Hills Mauoleum.
