Larry Eugene Robbins, Sr. 74, of Kirksville, MO passed away Thursday, January 26, 2017, at the Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.

The son of Ralph and Vivian (Gilbronson) Robbins, Larry was born July 30, 1942 in Jaspser County, IN.  On September 16, 1987 in Kirksville, MO he was united in marriage to Jane Hayes Hodge.

Larry is survived by Jane Robbins, two daughters, Karen Sims of Kirksville, MO and Kay Andrews of IN; one son, Larry Robbins, Jr. of IN; five step-daughters, Jane Glaspie and husband Larry of Kirksville, MO, Rebecca Hodge of Macon, MO, Veronica Hodge of LaPorte, IN, Madeline Clemens of LaPlata, MO and Helen Guerrero of Bucklin, MO; two step-sons, Harold J. Detrick of Kirksville, MO and Patrick E. Hayes and wife Shelly of LaPorte, IN; several grandchildren and step-grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, David Robbins and two sisters, Linda and Shirley.

Larry was raised in Indiana where he attended school.  In 1987 he moved to Kirksville, MO.  He was a mechanic for many years and also was a handyman and did yard work before he became disabled.  Larry was a kind and loving man.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 30, 2017, at the Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home with Reverend Terry Hunsaker, officiating.  Burial will be in the Park View Memorial Gardens in Kirksville, MO. at a later date.

Visitation will be from Noon on Monday, January 30, 2017, until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. at the
Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home
