Jean Dunham

Jean Dunham, 85 of Columbia, MO formerly of Kirksville, MO passed away at her daughter’s home on January 30, 2017.

The daughter of Homer and Doris (Hoerrman) Morelock, she was born November 16, 1931 in Adair County, MO. In 1949 in Kirksville, MO she was united in marriage to Bob G. Dunham and he preceded her in death on February 4, 1980. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Alex Dunham.

Jean is survived by her children, John Dunham of Columbia, MO and Susan Dunham of Columbia, MO.

Jean grew up in Kirksville and graduated from Kirksville High School. She attended Business College in St. Louis. She worked as a bookkeeper working in the loan department at Commerce Bank, as a real estate agent at Four Horizon Reality, and as a bookkeeper for Highland Crest Assisted Living until the age of 82. She has lived in Columbia, MO for the last 3 years.

She was a member of the First Christian Church in Kirksville. She enjoyed reading, socializing with friends and spending time with her children.

Jean’s caring personality touched the hearts of many friends and family. She will be greatly missed by her friends, family, and especially by her children.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday (February 4, 2017) with Reverend Jim Pitney officiating. Burial will be in Park View Memorial Gardens.

Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the
