Annette Collins

Annette Collins, 53 of Kirksville passed away Sunday (February 5, 2017) at Northeast Regional Medical Center.

The daughter of Melvin and Elsie Trindade, she was born in Oakland, California. In June of 1984 in Oakland, California, she was united in marriage to John Charles Collins.

Annette is survived by her husband, John; four children, Justin, Kristopher, Brianna, and Kelsey; her parents, Melvin and Elsie Trindade; one brother, Kenneth Trindade; and two sisters, Joanne Martin and Jacqueline Palacios.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, John and Rose; maternal grandparents, Frank and Flora; maternal step grandmother, Josephine; nephew, Angel Palacios. As well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Annette attended grade school and graduated from Fremont High School, in Oakland California. She attended college for one year while working in a local catalog warehouse, Montgomery Ward. She married John in 1984 and spent some years as manager of the apartment complex where the family lived. Most of her time was spent on the career that made her the happiest, mother and spouse. She spent every moment enjoying her family and following the interests of each child. She was very involved in school organizations, fundraising and sports.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday (February 16, 2017) at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home with Chaplain Chad Earhart officiating.

Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday (February 15, 2017) at the Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home
