June Elaine Yadon, of Excelsior Springs, MO formerly of Queen City, MO has left this world to be with her family in heaven Sept 16, 2009.
June was born April 15, 1927 at a home near Hartford, MO to Joseph Freeburn and Mary Maude (McFarland) Veach. June attended Button School House. She met her husband of 63 years, Harold Yadon at a local dance and they continued to dance every Saturday for the next 17 years. On June 19, 1946 in Queen City, MO the couple wed and in time they were blessed with two children, Judy (Yadon) Covington and Michael Yadon of Excelsior Springs, MO. June and Harold resided in Queen City, MO where June was employed by McGraws and later she owned and operated a restaurant in Queen City, MO. After retiring, June and Harold relocated to Excelsior Springs, MO to be close to their family. June was a member of the Queen City Order of the Eastern Star. June was baptized in 2005 and actively attended the Excelsior Springs Church of the Nazarene until her death.
June is survived by husband, Harold Yadon, son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Page Yadon, and three grandchildren, David Yadon, Judy Yadon and Honesty Yadon, and one great grand child, Oakley Lynn Yadon. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews and other relatives.
June is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Freeburn and Mary Maude Veach, sisters, Fern West, Nellie Richman, Anna Lena Veach and brothers, Wayne Veach, John K Veach, Guy Veach and one daughter, Judy (Yadon) Covington and Glenda (Martin) Shaver.
Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday (September 19, 2009) at the Dooley Funeral Home with visitation starting at 9:00a.m.
