Forrest T. “Tommy” Bowen, Jr. age 54, passed away Friday, June 30, 2017, at the Boone Hospital in Columbia, MO.
The son of Forrest Thomas and Byrnice Eleanor (Pulse) Bowen, Sr., Forrest was born July 10, 1962 in LaPlata, MO.
Forrest is survived by two sisters, Shirley Ogle and husband, Rick of Macon, MO and Barbara Bowen of Chandler, AZ.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Bonnie Dawson and his grandparents.
Forrest lived in LaPlata, MO for his first 24 years, moving to Macon, MO where he lived the rest of his life. He graduated from high school and continued to live at home with his parents until September, 1988. He lived at the Macon Group Home until the time of his death. Forrest especially loved his niece, Brandy; his nephews and nieces. He loved to go to his sister, Shirley's home for holidays and visited every week and enjoyed her meals. He loved his family in the group home and all of his caregivers.
Funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, July 3, 2017, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Macon, MO.
Burial will be in the Park View Memorial Gardens in Kirksville, MO.
Pallbearers will be David Ogle, Eric Ogle, Joseph Bowen, Zach Bowen, James Garrison and Zeb Allison.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Frank Waller, Keith Swank, Drake Ogle, Gage Ogle, Tobias Ogle, Noah Reed, Hudson Ogle and Gavin Cobb.
Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m on Monday, July 3, 2017, at the church.
Memorials are suggested to the Macon Group Home, 810 Ranchland Drive, Macon,, MO 63552.
