Larry Henry Myers 67, of Queen City passed away Tuesday November 3, 2009 in Northeast Regional Medical Center.
The son of Henry and Freda (Yearns) Myers, he was born February 16, 1942 in Schuyler County, MO. On February 22, 1961 in Comanche, IA he was united in marriage to Shanna Jones who survives. They had been together 50 years.
Also surviving are six children, Tracy Cassady and husband Donald of La Plata, MO, Kevin Myers of Queen City, MO, Eric Myers and wife Karen of Maple Valley, WA, Scott Myers and wife Samatha of Columbia, MO, Matt Myers and wife Kat of Macomb, IL and Greta Myers and finance Jamie Cole of Columbia, MO; thirteen grandchildren, Dustin Sapp, Derick Cassady, Dawn Cassady, Zac and Dawson Myers, Cooper and Lydia Myers, Erin and Sam Myers, Will and Claire Whitney and Jackson Cole; two great grandchildren, Mason and Tia Cassady; two sisters, Valene Jennings of St. Charles, MO and Judy Alder and husband David of San Bernadino, CA; two sisters-in-law, Marge Martin and Debbie Salazar both of Fort Madison, IA; his mother-in-law, Louise Jones of Weslaco, TX and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, one sister, Jeanie Almond and his father-in-law, Vernon Jones.

Larry attended the Queen City elementary and High School, graduating with the Class of 1960. He attended Refrigeration School in Malden, MO. Larry was a farmer and owned and operated his own electrical and refrigeration business until ill health forced his retirement.
Larry was a member of the Queen City Baptist Church and a member and Past Master of the Queen City Masonic Lodge #380 A.F. and A.M. He enjoyed bird hunting, fishing, working on old cars and tractors, spending time in his shop, wood working, building or fixing something, or just plain stirring. He took great pride in sharing his knowledge, and teaching his grandchildren. He will be missed.
Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday in the Dooley Funeral Chapel with Pastor Sonny Smyser officiating. A Masonic service will be conducted following the service by Queen City lodge #380 A.F. & A.M. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
