Judith Lynn “Judy” Skipper, 62, of Battle Ground, IN, died Thursday, November 19, 2009 at Clarian Arnett Hospital in Lafayette, IN.
Judy was born July 12, 1947, in Centerville, IA, and was the daughter of the late Elbert and Carol (Pollock) Gadberry. She graduated from Unionville High School in Unionville, MO.
On November 6, 1965, she married Ernest Skipper in Powersville, MO, and he survives at home.
Judy enjoyed her children and grandchildren, as well as sewing, shopping, baking and cooking. She also enjoyed bowling, playing computer games and Friday night domino games.
Surviving with her husband are a son, Michael T. Skipper and wife Sheila of Sugarland, TX; two daughters, Kimberly D. Campbell of Brookston, IN; and Jennifer L. Skipper and her companion Chad Oakley of Lafayette, IN. Also surviving are brothers Terry Gadberry and wife Debra of Nashville, TN, and Doug Gadberry and wife June of Unionville, MO; as well as one sister, Pam Gadberry and companion Ken Michael of Pollock, MO.
Surviving grandchildren are Megan and Andrew Campbell and Jack and Aidan Skipper. She was a great cook and organizer of family dinners. She was a member of Powersville Methodist Church and lived her life with a christian foundation.
Funeral services for Judy Skipper will be at Playle and Jones Family Funeral Home in Unionville, MO, on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 with visitation on Tuesday, November 24 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. Interment will be in the West Liberty Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association and entrusted with Playle and Jones Family Funeral Home, 709 S. 27th, Unionville, MO 63565.
